Museway

A quicker way to explore art museums.
Project Overview
Museway is an art museum app with its purpose to help users have an efficient time finding new museums to visit with the ability to purchase tickets right away and view current information about the exhibits currently in place. Museway provides opportunities for its users to explore just what they’re looking for.
My Contributions
My role includes user research and visual design. Due to a 4-week time constraint and lack of budget, this did not allow for a true user research; however, I was able to interview 2 active museum goers, and was able to discover that, as users, they crave for straight to the point tasks and convenience, which in this case is to find a museum and purchase a ticket.
The main goal here was—how can I make the art museum app more competitive to the existing apps in the market? Being able to book multiple art museum tickets in one location is a key feature to this application. After browsing and finding a particular museum, the user can book tickets, pick a date and time through a calendar, and purchase the tickets in the matter of minutes.

Another aspect to the application is the user’s ability to not only keep track of what museums they’ve attended or will be attending through their profile screen, but also being able to view current information about the museum’s exhibits and its artists.

One of the more imperative design features included in Museway is its built-in ticket wallet. This feature is for users to safely keep all the museum tickets they’ve purchased and haven’t visited yet, for quick and easy access when they do go. Each ticket includes the name of the museum, date, time, location, and barcode. Including all the key information on one ticket makes things easier on the users.
